I am blessed in so many ways. First, I am the mother to an amazing seven year old who is the light of my life, the wife of a fun, kind, intelligent man, the daughter of a Dane and Norwegian...right down their lutefisk roots, the sister to a witty man, and brilliant woman, the aunt to awe-inspiring nieces and 2 talented nephews, and, most pertinently, a School Counselor in the most unique, family-oriented school I have ever had the privilege to call my second home. I love my job! I love coming to work to see the kids, play with them, teach them, counsel them, talk with them and sing and dance with them. I love to listen to their ideas and imagine where they will be when they leave Hanover County Public Schools. I love helping them problem solve and teach them to cope through life's sometimes stressful events. Yes, it is National School Counselor's Week. A time where I celebrate the honor of being the School Counselor at Washington-Henry Elementary School.....and for that, as well, I am blessed!
